Yay! We got the Award!!! We got it yesterday in the afternoon, and it is awesome! There are some changes though. Black was not really fitting it, so the artist decided to do it in white. In fact, it looks much better in white, specially with the methacrylate. We also got the Award a little bit bigger than initially thought. It is better for it to stand.
The box is blue. (We couldn’t choose the box.) It would have been awesome if it had been green, but we couldn’t make it happen. But we could make happen other stuff.
How do you convey emotion in an Award?? Awards are usually well defined and are symbols of achievement. Our Award had to convey emotion, the emotion that fans feel for both the character and the actor who plays him. So, how to make an Award to be plenty of emotion?? Well, to make it a little bit “shaky”.
From afar, the Award just looks like any other Award, but when taking a closer look you’ll notice that the Award starts to “shake”. Just like fans do. When you talk about Loki or Tom to your friends, comment about him in Facebook, or create fanfic, you just seem to hold on just fine. You react to the character and actor from afar. Just like if you were staring at the Award from afar. But if you had Loki or Tom in front of you, you start to shake. Precisely what happens when you come closer to the Award: it looks shaken. This was the only way to convey fan emotion onto a squared piece of methacrylate!
Take another look to it.
We are sending it this Monday 🙂 We just hope he’ll like it!
