Loki and Sigyn, by Dreambeing.

Today we are happy to have a Fanfic author 🙂 MmsMcmillen!

Khaleesi: Where are you from?

MmsMcmillen: Well I was born in a little town called Watertown which is in upstate New York. Don’t worry I understand about New York city. I grew up in Big Flats, NY. I have lived in many places in the United States and even in Germany. Currently I live in Joliet, IL which is near Chicago.

K: How did you meet Loki?

M: Well I haven’t actually met him yet, but I first heard about him from The Mask. Honestly why would you put something on your face before finding out what it does?

Interview with Ter Merritt

Khaleesi: Where are you from?

Ter: I’m from the USA (eastern state called Pennsylvania)

K: How did you meet Loki?

T: I guess my earliest memory of hearing of Loki was from the movie the mask but I’ve always had an interest in anything when I hear his name mention. I just started to back track and read the older marvel comics referring to Loki.

K: Why did you start to create fan fiction?

T: I started to write fanfictions because while looking into fanfictions I most I found aren’t that great. They generally are out of character while also pushing pairings which I just don’t see even starting. My approach to my Loki fanfictions (I got too many to finish) is try to keep it as best as I can in character and as realistic as possible.

Princess Lalaith Fan Fiction & Fan Art

Yay! We got our first post about fan fiction! And we start interviewing Princess Lalaith!

Khaleesi: How did you meet Loki??

Princess Lalaith: I met Loki in the way I imagine everyone else did: Thor 1. I will admit that when I first watched the movie I didn’t pay much attention to it. Same even with Avengers, though the character stayed with me. There was something about him I liked, even if at first not even I knew what exactly. I’ve always been a fan of reading fanfics (I both read and write a lot, both in Ff.net and AO3). And then I watched the first movie again, this time with some of the scenes that they cut off. One in particular stayed with me: “Thor and Loki talking, right before Thor’s near-coronation. The smiles, the easy-camaraderie, and the words Loki spoke ‘I may sometimes be envious, but never doubt that I love you’…” It hit me then, someone that says such things, and with such feeling, someone like that is not evil. It’s just not possible. And I was suddenly seeing everything else in a whole new light (and I will admit the fanfics helped too).

I think this vid shows perfectly what I have in mind (it’s not mine):

Anyway, after that I just kept finding reasons why there had to be more. My biggest idea (which all my Nightingale verse spins around). Is that Loki does thing for the right reasons, but he’s the kind of man who doesn’t care for the means as long as they give him what is needed. He is willing to sacrifice people he doesn’t know to protect a group or even one person he loves. He was willing to deal with ‘monsters’ to prove he was right that Thor wasn’t ready for the throne.

Also, Loki is a hell of a strategist, and he decides that the best way to begin an invasion on Earth is to make the possible defenders all angry, get them to become a team? He must have known what the consequences would be. So it makes no sense, unless he was planning exactly for that. It’s not like he didn’t plan on winning, or on being defeated, he simply gave them a chance, or something like that…
